Self Black
Self Black is a breed I started with in 2009, and will always remain special in my heart for their soft natures and perfect conformation.
I would like to thank the following breeders for helping me start off with some amazing foundation stock that has helped me to get to where I am today;
Susan Pelleymounter of Kenmar in Western Australia and Robert Brown of Dunvegan in Victoria.
I have successfully bred Self Blacks for many years, and I'm proud to say I have done extremely well. My first ever litter of Self Blacks born in 2009 presented me with three Best in Show winners out of a litter of four. Tabella Lorenzo a Self Black boar, owned by Ken and Liz Hart of Gnarojin Stud, won Best in Show at the 2010 Christmas show, Tabella Jette a Self Black sow, owned by Rebecca Gannon of Cherrywood Stud, constantly won Best in Shows in the year 2012, and my beautiful Self Black sow Double Champion Tabella Breaking Dawn who was no stranger to the show table and was a show stopper from 3 months old, lived up to her promises I had hoped for when she was first born - she went on to win many Best in Shows and a Best Cavy of the Year in 2010. Their full brother, Tabella Phoenix, filled Dawn's place when Dawn was put into the breeding pen. Phoenix placed in many Junior classes.
